The Birth of a Blog

So here we go!
I'm still trying to figure out what exactly a blog is. I've read other blogs on this site and searched the internet for others and it seems that a blog can be anything you want it to be, a sort of personal soap box to the world. This is my first blog and my message is education.
My name is Corey AmEnde and I taking my first graduate class, at Quinnipiac University. The class is titled "Introduction to the Study of Interactive Communications" and one of our first assignments is to create a blog that will be used to post our thoughts about our discussions and readings as the class progresses through the semester. I am excited about starting my graduate work, it's something that I've wanted to do ever since I graduated from Marist College in 1998 and for one reason or the other never got around to signing up for a class. Whether it was lack of free time or the funds, it's taken me a few years to get going. But now that I have more free time, and always searching for more money, I decided to jump in. I look forward to the challenges that this class will present and the knowledge that I will gain.
